How am I doing as an art student?

I was updating my mom on the phone the other day, and she said she was hoping to see some of my recent work here, so I thought I’d put up a few things from my sketchbooks.  Later, I’ll take some photos of my life drawings, my first painting project, etc.  All in all, taking art classes has not led to the production of much art–just a lot of grappling, of various kinds:
