She has also asked us to bring together figures from different artworks.  I am working on a painting that includes the most prominent female nude from Manet&#8217;s <em>Dejeuner sur L&#8217;Herb<\/em>, a Cycladic doll, and two figures from Vel\u00c3\u00a1zquez&#8217;s <em>Las Meninas<\/em>.  It&#8217;s going to be called &#8220;Rex, Victoire, Kora, and Marib\u00c3\u00a1rbola Take the Afternoon Off.&#8221;  Stay tuned.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, here is a large study I did of Maribarbola&#8217;s face.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lauraelaine\/3252117632\/\" title=\"Marib\u00c3\u00a1rbola  by LauraElaine, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3446\/3252117632_ff156d8c4f.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" alt=\"Marib\u00c3\u00a1rbola \" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And here are some proto-Renaissance saints.
